Renaissance Wines Now on WineWeb

It's been a busy week here at WineWeb, and it's only half way through. Renaissance Vineyard & Winery is the latest addition to the WineWeb family of hosted winery websites. Renaissance has an interesting history in Yuba County, and since they aren't on a popular wine trail, they needed an effective winery website to tell their story. Check out www.rvw.com for the full story on this winery, and stroll through their wines and wine club offerings.

Amethyst Wines Now Online

Amethyst Wines, a Napa Valley producer of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris and Nebbiolo, just came online, with WineWeb providing the website hosting and online ordering functions. Don't think of the gem, but the nymph in the Roman myth about Bacchus. Amethyst still has some of their 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon available, and their 2004 vintage will be released next month. Check out Amethyst Wines at www.amethystwines.com.

Buy Starlite Zinfandel Online

The 2004 Starlite Vineyards Zinfandel is now available for sale online, direct from the winery. The winery is using WineWeb to process the orders, and you can access the order form on their website at www.starlitevineyards.com. If their 2003 vintage is any indication, this will sell out quick.

Wonderful Press About Our Clients

It seems like it's hard to pick up a wine magazine these days without seeing something about one of our winery clients. The May 15th issue of Wine Spectator has a big article on Pat Kuleto and Kuleto Estate. Then I pick up the latest issue of Wine Spectator (May 31st -- yes I know it's only May 3rd, but they tend to get ahead of themselves), and their Savvy Shopper section lists Adastra'a Chardonnay with a 92 point rating.

Then yesterday, the Sacremento Bee newspaper had a great article on Renaissance Winery.

Barry Manilow Wine Online

It's a trend these days -- rock & pop start, race car drivers, all kinds of famous people have their own wine label. Manilow Wines are the latest addition to the WineWeb e-commerce service. Be the first on your block to get some of this wine online. It makes a great conversation starter.

Zorvino Vineyards now online

Described as a small piece of Tuscany in a New Hampshire hardwood forest, Zorvino Vineyards is a great place to visit and sample their wines and chocolate. Or if a wedding at a winery is in your plans, Zorvino can do that as well. Check them out at www.zorvino.com, the latest winery to use the WineWeb for their winery website services.

Summers Winery now on WineWeb

Summers Winery, a Napa Valley winery based in Calistoga, has moved their website services to the WineWeb. Check out their Rose' made from Cabernet Sauvignon or their Andriana's Cuvee, a blend of Cab Sauv from 3 vineyards. All their wines are available for online ordering at www.summerswinery.com.

Interactive Maps are now worldwide

We've added the ability to view Google interactive maps of wineries worldwide (it previously was only available for US wineries). Currently over 1/3 of the 34,000 wineries in our directory have latitude & longitude values, so they will plot on the maps. We'll continue to add more as we find services to convert addresses into latitude/longitude in the various countries. Some countries have a high percentage of wineries that plot on the maps, like the US, France and Italy. Others, like South America and Eastern Europe have very few.

Accessing the maps is easy. As you search our winery directory, anytime you see a list of matching wineries, there is a link to the map for that area.
